Facilities
Our purpose built clinic, opened in November 2002, nestles on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in a peaceful , tranquil environment yet is easily accessible being only 10 minutes drive from Junctions 26 and 27 of the M5 (location map). It is a facility second to none in the Westcountry and since opening we have invested in a continued program of development and improvements.

The clinic provides the facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical and surgical disorders from the new hard and soft lunging areas for lameness diagnosis to the on site laboratory for rapid investigation of medical conditions. It also houses examination rooms, the fixed X-ray and ultrasound units and of course the state of the art, purpose built operating theatre with padded induction and recovery boxes

This is backed up by on site hospitalisation facilities with modern stabling, turnout pens and 24hour nursing cover. Isolation stabling is available for potentially contagious cases.

The ambulatory side of the work is also co-ordinated from this base and comprises a large proportion of our day to day cases. All of our vets are fully equipped for all eventualities from emergency treatment of fractures or “colic” to routine and advanced dentistry procedures.

We have a number of portable ultrasound scanners available for both reproductive and tendon scanning purposes along with a portable X-ray machine. We cover a large proportion of both Devon and Somerset on the ambulatory side of the practice including Taunton, Tiverton, Exeter, Barnstaple, Bridgewater, Honiton, Chard and Yeovil and the surrounding areas (see Map).

If you are not sure if you are within our coverage area please phone the clinic. To ensure as much case and client continuity as possible we tend to have certain vets covering different geographical areas so we hope that clients would only be routinely visited by 2 different veterinary surgeons.
