Neil Taylor - Intern BVMS MRCVS
Neil graduated from the University of Glasgow in June this year. While studying at university he spent a month in Morocco undertaking voluntary work with equids. He also captained the vet school polo team. After graduation Neil worked briefly for Equitait Veterinary Hospital before commencing his internship here at Western Counties in October. Neil enjoys all aspects of equine practice but iss particularly interested in Anaesthesia and stud work.
Outside of work Neil enjoys playing musical instruments and riding when time permits
Our purpose built hospital, opened in November 2002, nestles on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in a peaceful, tranquil environment yet is easily accessible being only 10 minutes drive from Junctions 26 and 27 of the M5. Servicing the counties of Devon and Somerset, it is a facility second to none in the Westcountry and since opening we have invested in a continued program of development and improvements. This culminated in October 2009 with the award of RCVS Equine Hospital status, the highest level of accreditation available, reflecting the high level of veterinary expertise, nursing care and facilities available.
