We are pleased to accept referrals across a wide range of equine veterinary fields, both medical and surgical. These include colic surgery, joint sepsis (including arthroscopic lavage where indicated), lameness investigations, orthopaedic surgery, wind/sinus surgery, dentistry and foal intensive care. In addition we have recently invested in a 3m video-endoscope suitable for performing gastroscopy.
We are now also in a position to offer overground endoscopy for the dynamic assessment of upper respiratory tract problems; useful for both race and sports horses- contact the hospital for more details.

With our purpose built hospital, on site 24 hour nursing cover and excellent diagnostic and treatment facilities we believe we are well placed to offer you and your clients a high quality service. One of the practice partners will usually provide overall care of the referred case but we also, where indicated, work closely with visiting specialists;
Geoff Lane BVetMed, DESTS, FRCVS, (RCVS Specialist in Equine Surgery). (Wind Surgery)
Tim Phillips BVetMed,CertEP,CertEO,DESTS,Dipl.ECVS,MRCVS (RCVS specialist in equine surgery) (Orthopaedic Surgery)
Jim Carter BVetMed, DV Ophthalmology MRCVS, (RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology) (Ophthalmology)
We will accept referrals only on an ethical basis after prior contact with the referring veterinary surgeon. The referring veterinary surgeon will be kept informed of the progress of cases by telephone while copies of discharge instructions are faxed to practices on the day of horses’ discharge. A full report is subsequently sent.
As part of our commitment to ethical referrals we will not provide first opinion veterinary services to any referred client for at least 12 months following referral.
For further details or to discuss any potential referrals on a no obligation basis please telephone the hospital to speak to one of the partners. We are also happy to provide telephone advice on cases generally.
