David Seymour - Associate BVM&S MRCVS
David graduated from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in 2014 and started his career at Newmarket Equine Hospital, completing a 6 month racing internship. From there, he worked in equine and large animal practice in Cornwall before joining Western Counties in June 2018. David works both in the hospital and as part of the ambulatory team. He has particular interests in lameness, surgery, studwork and advanced dentistry. He is a member of ARVS and is part of the team that provides Veterinary attendance at Point to points and the races.
Outside of work David enjoys surfing, sailing and shooting. Although no longer playing rugby he remains an avid spectator.

Our purpose built hospital, opened in November 2002, nestles on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in a peaceful, tranquil environment yet is easily accessible being only 10 minutes drive from Junctions 26 and 27 of the M5. Servicing the counties of Devon and Somerset, it is a facility second to none in the Westcountry and since opening we have invested in a continued program of development and improvements. This culminated in October 2009 with the award of RCVS Equine Hospital status, the highest level of accreditation available, reflecting the high level of veterinary expertise, nursing care and facilities available.
