PRESCRIPTIONS
Prescriptions are available from this hospital, you may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, category V (POM V’s) from your veterinary surgeon or ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy
Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM V’s only for animals under his or her care
A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary
You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be prescribed for your animal
The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 3-6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances
A normal visit charge will be incurred if indicated

Our purpose built hospital, opened in November 2002, nestles on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in a peaceful, tranquil environment yet is easily accessible being only 10 minutes drive from Junctions 26 and 27 of the M5. Servicing the counties of Devon and Somerset, it is a facility second to none in the Westcountry and since opening we have invested in a continued program of development and improvements. This culminated in October 2009 with the award of RCVS Equine Hospital status, the highest level of accreditation available, reflecting the high level of veterinary expertise, nursing care and facilities available.
